What expertise do you bring to the board?
For the past nine years I have held an executive position and was responsible for a business unit in both companies I worked for. I also have expertise as an educator, counselor, mentor, and human resource consultant. 

What about TRC's mission made you want to serve on the board?
I believe it is our fundamental right to live in decent housing that is affordable. Individuals that have issues of homelessness related to drug addiction, mental health, or lack of employment have this same fundamental right.  I am very passionate about housing and I am looking forward to this accomplishment with such a worthwhile organization.

Christ's command to love our neighbor as ourselves means we are to meet the needs and heal the hurts of, as Christ said, "the least of these, my brothers [and sisters]."

What expertise do you bring to the board?
I have worked with a variety of community and civic organizations whose missions are to improve our communities, educational standards for our youth and quality of life for each individual. I am involved with several organizations including Kappa Alpha Psi-Chicago and Earheart Local School Council.

What about TRC's mission made you want to serve on the board?
TRC's commitment to affordable housing and its compassion for the homeless.

What expertise do you bring to the board?
I have an excellent background in operation management, finance and plant management. I have led teams of as many as 159 FTEs with an annual budget of $46 million.   As Treasurer I intend to work with other board members to ensure that we optimize our full financial potential.

What about TRC's mission made you want to serve on the board?
TRC wants the betterment of the African American community and recognizes the need to include everyone at the table, from adolescents to seniors.

I have an excellent background in financial analysis, relationship management and business developement.

What about TRC's mission made you want to serve on the board?
The mission is in line with my personal belief of equipping people with the tools and resources to increase their chance of success in life, thus improving the quality of our neighborhoods and communities.

As a pastor, I bring 28 years of leadership experience. I am also a creative thinker, enjoy collaborative work and like to see projects through.

What about TRC's mission made you want to serve on the board?
My partnership with TRC began 10 years ago, and I remain on the board today because I firmly support TRC's mission of affordable housing, having witnessed the benifit TRC has had on the lives of the people it serves. I have witness how it makes a real difference in the community. The projects for senior housing and grand families are both greatly needed and should be a model others follow.

What expertise do you bring to the board?
With 15 years of experience in corporate HR, I am skilled in conflict resolution, team development, training, research and leadership development.    

What about TRC's mission made you want to serve on the board?
The strategies to help people move to self-sufficiency and the initiatives with grand families, financial literacy and workforce development all struck a chord with me. The Wabash YMCA has a rich history of working with people who may have limited resources but a shared vision and strong wills. I want to be a part of that continued legacy.

I have served as Pastor of Apostolic Faith Church for more than 30 years and i have served as the Director of the Comprehensive Sickle Cell/Thalassemia Program at Children's Memorial Hospital and I am an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern Medical School.

I have served with TRC since its inception and TRC remains dedicated to enriching the lives of all God's Children.  TRC's commitment to creating a harmonious community where all members have an equal opportunity for success is a major reason i serve on this great and historic board.

I have knowledge of the Chicago real estate and financial markets from residential, investment and commercial perspectives. I also have experience in human resources and consulting in corporate, non-profit and academic settings.
 
What about TRC's mission made you want to serve on the board?
A quote from scripture is perhaps the best way to sum it up: "If you feed a man a fish, he will eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he will eat for a lifetime." TRC's mission is about teaching pepole to fish, to be independent and self-sufficient.
