Supportive Services

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Programming focuses on promoting health and wellness as essentials for individual well-being, development and self-sufficiency. Services are designed to support residents with medication compliance, recovery, nutrition, mentla health, vision and dental needs. Residents are counseled both individually and in group settings.

EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT

Assists residents in becomeing economically self-sufficient. The manager works individually with residents to help them identify their education and employment goals and develop plans to attain them. Specific services available include: career assessments, job readiness and retention workshops, job placement, GED preparation and basic computer classes.

LIFE SKILLS

Through individual and group programs, residents take part in various workshops to acquire useful tools. Workshop topics range from behavioral (e.g. communicating effectively with others), cognitive (e.g. understanding and making the most of the decision-making process), interpersonal (e.g. being a contributing group-member), to intrapersonal (e.g. setting and reaching goals). Residents will also have the opportunity to learn basic housekeeping skills, money management, financial planning, home ownership, retirement planning and basic legal education.
